Specifying widgets to parse.

Gerlando Piro
How can I specify a widget type to parse with parseWidgets:false in
djConfig? I recall seeing the answer in a comment a while back but could
not find it.

Thanks,
-Gerlando.

Re: Specifying widgets to parse.

Is this what should be used when refreshing a widget via ajax calls?

I am a dojo novice and I have some nodes like

<div dojoType="SplitPanePanel"

that I recieve new versions of via dojo.io.bind

How can I get these updated widgets to be reloaded/reparsed after such an ajax response is received?

Thanks,
Michael

Re: Specifying widgets to parse.

I have a related question on this as well.  I'm creating an xml file with dojo widgets and html tags.  I receive back a xmldocument object using bind so i'm wondering how do to render the dojo widgets.  I read the parser tutorial and it said if an xml object already exists that I could use just the 2nd pass parser, is this correct because I'm still running into runtime exceptions?  Once the widgets are created, how do I add it to the document as the 2nd level parser doesn't return back any references.

Your best bet is to add it to the document and *then* run the parser(s).

Not quite, the first pass is xml to js, the second pass is js to widgets.

Alex's comment about adding to the document first is probably the most
straightforward.  Alternatively, you could use the first pass parser,
and then iterate over that, making calls to the 2nd pass parser's
fromScript interface, which allows you to specify an insertion point,
and also returns a reference to the widget.
