IPad issues with dijit.form.select and dijit.form.combobox

tstalzer
Hi

This is my first post - so, hello to everyone

We have a webpage / portal built on Dojo which uses dijit.form.select and dijit.form.comboboxes. When we are trying to select options from the drop down list using an IPad, we cannot select an entry. Rather the touch/click event gets routed to the item laying under the combobox.

How can we solve this issue?

Best regards
Thomas

Do you need to use digit.form.select?
We are just using regular selects for our iPad app and obviously it works well and is styled natively.

We would like to as we are using the same HTML code for both IPad and PC users. On Windows the native select doesn't look as "pretty" as the Dojo element.

We are experimenting with the default "select" and it looks like that this will be our fallback solution.

Obviously, we would prefer the Dojo solution.

I must admit I haven't played w the dojo select but the native select looks great on iPad and would prob suit better than the dojo one. I guess a hack would be a bit of user agent js code that checks if is mobile and if so removes dojo select and create a native in it's place

I think I fixed some stuff with Select for 1.7, although I don't remember a problem with stuff underneath getting selected.   But anyway give 1.7 beta a try.
